1. I cannot hear the music as I am totally deaf, but I can feel the rhythm of the music through the floor. This enables me to dance as well as the next person.
2. When competing in Latin American Dance competitions I have a great difficulty in hearing the rhythm. In some Latin American dances you must start on the second beat which I cannot hear. I have a friend in the audience who mimes to the music 1,2,3,4 and that enables me to pick up on the second beat.
